The night the impossible became possible

Daft as it probably sounds, the game that changed everything was Arsenal away. If we'd sneaked a draw that night, we may not have won the league, we'd been limping along performance wise for a bit before that, often just doing enough (or not).

I think that defeat actually gave everyone the focus to try and go unbeaten or 100% till the end of the season, just for their own pride, it could have gone either way, but I had a feeling we would. It still left us relying on united to cock it up, luckily they did just that, and once they had given us a sniff, we were not going to fall away again.

I KNEW,I just knew! Sometimes i get strange flashes of images and feelings and before that night i got two.One was a very vivid image of Kompany lifting the premier league trophy. The other was a certain feeling Wigan would beat United. When United went eight points clear and their players and fans were once again showing their true hateful colours, crowing and boasting,i posted on here that if there was a God we would win it.

I then had the feelings and image and had a nervous certainty that this would happen.Of course you daren't speak of it in case it is the kiss of death, lol, but inside i knew.

On 90 minutes against QPR i thought i was mad to have thought this so strongly, how cruel to have been given this hope from an impossible situation to have it snatched away at the death.....then we scored two goals and the rest is glorious history!

Something really supernatural happened for us this season and i think all United's despicable karma for the last twenty years caught up with them.Thank you God

I remember before ko talking to some guys around me that we could do with beating West Brom to help ensure Arsenal didn't catch us for second place!!!!

This - and I had been instructed by Mrs P to sleep in the car that night unless we won - cause " I don't want to see your miserable face again".

I was away on holiday for most of the first part of April but managed to watch the games - didnt see the arsenal game as I couldnt find it on anywhere so was watching the score on tinterweb, lowest moment for a long time and me brother in law posted on facebook 'season over now fuck off City'. When I got back I caught up with highlights on MOTD. According to the so called expert pundits we were going to give up and not be able to deal with the pressure and the rags had all the experience .....it was the reverse. And now we have done it that demon [yeah right!] has gone.

Our 6 game winning run was superb but the key game was everton snatching a draw from victory at the rags.

Without that it would all have been a case of so near yet so far.

I only started really believing when we beat the rags.

The goals in the Norwich game were vital though

I travelled over for the Baggies game with a mate and his lad, and I'll be honest; I've never travelled over looking less forward to a game. The non-performance at the Emirates was a real downer for me, and I'll admit it; I thought the title had gone. Yeah, I know. Plastic, Johnny-come-lately, gloryhunter etc etc.
