Not impressed with alex henshall. Before their game v crewe, he said 'gonna win the league today #easy' or summat like that.

They lost, he is getting stick from blues over it (rightly so), and he has now resorted to telling blues to shut up and basically saying he doesnt care what they say cos hes a footballer and they are not.

Very poor show from this arrogant young man.

What is wrong with our youth set up that allows players to behave like total dicks?

It's not exclusive to our youth setup (see: Ravel Morrison), too many teenagers in English football in general seem like spoiled brats nowadays! Henshall seemed very humble and down to earth when he did an interview upon joining the club too. I'm sure not all of the English lads are like that, George Evans for example seems level headed and Ben Mee was a consummate professional as captain of our academy and reserve teams.

By clubs choosing to push forward certain higher profile youth players in the media they run the risk of the players feeling more in the protective club bubble than they might normally do and so complacency is all too easy. Look at Jordi Hiwula - the club have hardly done any media converage on him and he does not self publicise; instead he has got on with his development and done his talking on the pitch. Ok sooner or later if the talent develops that much there are too many outside influences wanting to know more about them and media exposure becomes inevitable; but until that time players should learn that most of the twitter followers & such like generally only know about them because of a binary written amusement program - not because they watch them week in week out.

Trippier named player of the year by Burnley fans, knew we were letting a good one go there but he had no real chance here with Micah and Zaba such good right-backs. I'd expect him in the Premier League before too long, hopefully we put a sell-on % clause when we sold him to Burnley.

Anyone know anything about this lad? <a class="postlink" href="http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/football/premier-league/transfer-rumours/120425/argentine-youngster-manchester-citys-radar-170642" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/ ... dar-170642</a>

Not much information. Would probably be a punt just like Savic was?

I'd sooner have kept Trippier, fooked Kolarov off and left Zab to cover left back.

He will undoubtedly make it to the prem,he has too much about him not to.

It seems that both Tom Smith and Bradley Robinson have left the club ... ? Who else is likely to be released do you think?

IMO other than those two:

Definitely: Tse, Benali

Maybe: Ibrahim, Elabdellaoui, Razak Nuhu

Safe: Abdul Razak, Bunn, Roman, Wabara, Helan, Johansen, Abu

Sold: Cunningham, McGivern

Possibly sold: Nimely, Assulin

Space has to be freed as some of the talented under-18s team will step up permanently to reserve/NextGen level next season and we might sign a couple of new 18 year olds like the Argentine boy mentioned in a post above.

i have a feeling we'll be more ruthless than that this summer with the kids, the last generation has had one too many chances.
