Feyenoord are in talks with Manchester City for Denis Suarez.

After the success of John Guidetti this season, Feyenoord chief Martin van Geel is now moving for Suarez.

The exciting Spanish teen impressed for City during the NextGen series this term and Van Geel hopes to take him on-loan for the new campaign.

Wanted him at a PL club (maybe too early for that?) but this would be a good move for him I think.

Suarez and Guidetti to Feyenoord for season will be a good move for everyone involved in my opinion.

If Guidetti does what he has this season again then we know he can be brought back to the first team.

Do we have an official link up with Feyenoord? Have we recently signed one of their youngsters?
I have no idea as far as link up goes, but we recently signed Rekik from their academy, if i´m not mistaken they werent to happy but Guidetti probably erased those feelings with the way he´s playing over there.

We do have a partnership with Feyenoord, as well as NEC in Holland (where Abdi Ibrahim went on loan and flopped).

That's great news but perhaps it is maybe a bit early for him to be getting games at that level? We will see.

Suarez would just end up on the bench at a Premier League club right now like the very talented Josh McEachran has at Swansea. PL managers seem less and less willing to risk very young players because there is so much pressure now. Even Baconface wouldn't give Morrison or Pogba any real first team chances and they are considered two of United's best academy talents since the Giggs/Beckham/Neville/Scholes era. Feyenoord is an excellent next step for him if the deal is done (apparently it could depend on some things like if Feyenoord manage to sign Bakkal permanently), it will be a good challenge and if he has a Guidetti-esque season then we can think of Premier League loans or even giving him more games for us.

By the way City have a new partner club in Portugal, Gil Vicente, that gives us another option for young players. They are a mid-table side in Portugal's top division and the experience for young City starlets of playing against Porto, Benfica, Sporting, and Braga would be very good.

Whos going to the senior cup game should be a good night especially if we win the league. Could have a really strong squad if the loanees are available like rekik and assulin, will also be the final game for at the club for many of the young players such as benali. Hopefully there will be a good crowd there to cheer the boys on to our 8th victory over united at all levels this season.

Dutch challenge awaits Manchester City
MANCHESTER City academy defender George Swan is hoping that he can help his team to victory in a high-profile football tournament in the Netherlands before jetting off for a loan spell in Norway.

The 17 year-old will hook-up with Strømsgodset next month to gain valuable experience with the side currently sitting pretty at the top of the Norwegian Eliteserien table.

However, it is City’s campaign in the 59th ADO Den Haag Youth Tournament later this month that is top priority for Swan, who has made a successful come-back from a knee injury.

He said: “I am really looking forward to going to Norway but the tournament in Holland will give me some great experience.

“I have been playing in U17s games for City, building up match fitness and playing for the full 80 minutes and that has been really valuable.

“I’ve lost a bit of weight and feel a lot fitter now so hopefully I can now look forward to breaking into the reserves next season.”

The young Citizens’ squad will take on hosts ADO Den Haag, Brazilian side Cruzeiro and a strong Scotland U20s side in Group A of the tournament, which kicks-off on Friday, May 25.

Club Brugge and Borussia Mönchengladbach will face national teams from Mexico and Kazakhstan in Group B.

Group A schedule (all kick-offs local time):

Friday, 25th May 2012
20:00 ADO Den Haag v Cruzeiro
21:00 Manchester City v Scotland
Saturday, 26th May 2012
13:00 Scotland v ADO Den Haag
14:00 Cruzeiro v Manchester City
17:00 ADO Den Haag v Manchester City
18:00 Scotland v Cruzeiro
