Ghana Under-20 striker Nasiru Mohammed has joined English giants Manchester City on a three-week trial stint, MTNFootball can exclusively reveal.

The 18-year-old arrived at the Etihad Stadium training complex last week and has already begun training with City's U18 side.

The 2009 Ghana Under-17 captain is hoping to impress on trial and secure a permanent deal with the big spenders.

Mohammed will rejoin his Black Satellites team-mates in mid May for an invitational tournament in South Africa before returning to City to continue his trial.

If signed, he will become the fourth Ghanaian youngster to join City after Thomas Frimpong, Frank Osei Kwame and Thomas Agyiri were signed from the Right to Dream Academy.

LoveCity, did these four all sign just this season, or is that the overall figure from the academy? nice to see we're signing the captains from respective sides..talented youngsters who have already experienced the pressure of leading sides..
And did we finally sign those twins who were on trial? A striker-defender combo, i believe..

Sorry just saw this question - I think those Ghanaians were taken on trial earlier this season and unless they are at U16 level none have been signed yet as they definitely aren't in the under-18s or EDS. We trial lots of kids from Ghana because of our Right to Dream links, that's where we signed Mohammed Abu and Razak Nuhu from.

The Hungarian twins made a very good impression and will return for a second trial in the summer. The attacking one is called the "Hungarian Cristiano Ronaldo" but we all know how media around the world likes to hype their kids.

"#mcfc's Ghanaian youngsters Bismark Adjei Boateng and Enock Kwakwa will join Norwegian side Stromgodset on loan next season. [MTNFootball]"

So that's 6 Ghanaians that's been mentioned till now that we know of..looks like we're looking for the next City star in Ghana..

Stromgodset sign Ghanaian duo from Man City

Norwegian side Stromgodset have signed two Ghanaian youngsters on loan from English giants Manchester City.

Bismark Adjei Boateng and Enock Kwakwa will move to Norway in the summer as they are currently with Manchester City's academy having spent some time with Stromgodset earlier in the year.

Boateng is described as an aggressive and confident passing midfielder, while Enock Kwakwa is a left-back.

The two players who were discovered by the Right to Dream Academy in Akosombo will spend their time in Norway to develop.

The stringent work permit regulation in the UK would not allow them to play for the top side of Manchester City.

This means they must play in other European countries where they can get their EU papers sorted to enable them to return to England later.

"These are two very exciting players, the same as Abu and Razak were when they came here," said Stromsgodset coach Ron Deila.

Manchester City have a good relationship with Stromgodset which has seen players like Mohammed Abu, Razak Nuhu and Omar Elabdellaoui joining the Norwegian side on loan from the English club.

In particular, Abu has distinguished himself as a brilliant footballer and a midfield general as he has received widespread praise for what he has accomplished at the club.

Stromsgodset are top of the Norwegian Premier League after seven rounds of matches.

The club has captured 16 points so far.

What will that mean for Razak Nuhu then? as he is also a left back

Razak Nuhu is 21 now and we haven't heard a thing about him while the Norwegians have raved about Abu, so he could be a victim of the end-of-season cull.

Sky Sports says Benali on his way to a Championship club, I'm glad to hear as it looked bleak after his poor loan spell at Rochdale but his good form for the EDS means he is going to get a good deal somewhere it seems. He could join Mee and Trippier (if Newcastle don't sign him) at Burnley.

-

Manchester City youngster Ahmad Benali is interesting a number of Football League clubs, Sky Sports can confirm.

The Manchester-born 20-year-old has come through the highly acclaimed youth system at the Etihad Stadium.

He joined Rochdale on loan earlier this season, but did not settle at Spotland and he returned to City to continue his development with their Elite training squad.

The attacking midfielder is out of contract at City this summer, and he is already attracting interest from a number of Championship clubs.

"Ahmad had a disappointing time on loan at Rochdale and was unable to return to City until the January recall. Having returned to City he has got back in to his rhythm and been prolific over recent weeks in the Elite Development Squad," his agent Adam Bouskouchi confirmed to Sky Sports.

"Given that Ahmad is a very skilful player and his best position is as an attacking midfielder we are carefully assessing our options to ensure he goes to a team who will be suited to his style of play.

"There are a number of clubs to have expressed an interest, but we can't go into details at this point."

Burnley and Middlesbrough are believed to be amongst the sides keen on taking Benali, who can also play up-front or on the wing.

Will be nice to see if Benali gets a championship club. No shame in leaving us to go to somewhere like Burnley etc.

A few have left us and are looking like they have a good career at that level possibly even back in the prem eg Trippier/Mee/Cunningham and Evans before he got sent down!
