Gabriel Fernando (Almeida) has quit City... wonder where he is going, hopefully not to a rival. Seems a very high maintenance lad, but best of luck to him.

He said he was in london to do business talks, and that he was moving to another english club, so wonder which london club that will be. And for those of you asking why he is leaving is that he was very impacient(wtf my brain) because he did not get playtime for the EDS which is where he wanted to be at this age.

He's only 16 but must feel he belongs in the U21s since a few other 16yos play at that level. Very impatient kid.

He had also recently been banned by the club from using twitter. A strong and disciplined stance on performance as well as attitude inevitably means that there are casualties.

Far too small to be playing EDS; look at the other 16 year olds in that squad and how much more physically developed they are (Pozo, Bossaerts, Ntcham etc). This kid still looks like a child out on the pitch.

But perhaps he was unlucky not to have even been promoted to the u18s given the club's recent trend of promoting players up a level or two.

I really dont rate Boaserts, he doesn't seem anything special to me.His new defensive compatriot however, Denayer, looks to have talent in abundance and is definitely 'one to watch' .

-- 13 Aug 2013 11:51 --

I really dont rate Boaserts, he doesn't seem anything special to me.His new defensive compatriot however, Denayer, looks to have talent in abundance and is definitely 'one to watch' .

Bossaerts is only 17, that's far too young to be expected to look great playing in an U21 competition at CB, especially in the English system where most teams are full of massively physical players. Our EDS team looks very very young at the moment, have we just ditched a generation of players and gone with the U18 team?

Really? How old is Denayer? Is he as close to Rekik's level?

Gabby Fernando was one of the laziest players I saw playing in the U16s last season with little technical ability to compensate for that attitude. I would be totally gobsmacked if this lad made it in this country.
