Defo nothing against Vierra. Absolute Legend. Better at all his other clubs than he was for us but he did his bit and what a guy to learn from. Just don't like the winning isn't important vibe after defeats and think its a pack of lies party line. It really is possible to develop and win and when he finds a way of doing this I hope he can be at the forefront of the clubs thinking for a first team role. He should be winning more games like with the players he has but here's hoping that will come. The best teams develop and win. Its harder to develop in a losing team or environment. That will never change. We won't get many players through who are used to losing or far worse accept it. We as fans should not expect this from our Coach whatever the level. Winners breed Winners. Losers well you know the rest! PV is a Winner and I want him to talk like one and teach like one.

It's hard to judge center halves at youth level, if you look at him he seems a big lad already, most if not all the attacking players at that age group are not developed physically at all so for him the game can be a little more easy.

He looks very good though.

No way. Just a realist. I like Vierra and have faith. But having seen Roman & Suarez disapear back home and Razak sent just about as far away as possible and Rekik who I personally don't think will play another game for us go home (on loan) I've lost a bit of confidence in the youth system that's all. We lose quite clearly far too many games than we should or have ever done and I'm hearing Winning isn't important. I of course have trust in the experts and the CV of PV if you like but I'm concerned we are accepting 2nd best if winning isn't important. We are Man City. We have the tools this year to win the League again and at worst I'm greedy. I don't wanna draw with Exeter youth and lose to Chelsea and others. Aston Villa Rags anybody. I want to see the next young player in asap. Sadly it doesn't appear that he will be English nevertheless I want the next one and the follow up crew used to winning and learning in a no excuse environment ready to see us top of the pile forever. I've watched enough crap and took the defeats on the chin when we were crap. If the coach says winning isn't important then we can't blame players when we criticize them later in their careers when we say "he doesn't care" he doesn't love the club, he doesn't care whether we win or lose as long as he's getting his wages etc. It goes on and we need a learning and winning culture not a learning only culture. That is all.

If you want to win at youth level, then we should stop telling our kids to play out fom the back and instead just bring in some bug, strong, overdeveloped kids and lump it long to them all game. That's how to win youth football and it's also how to create a generation of useless footballers unfortunately. The team is incredibly young for it's age level and they are getting caught out a lot while learning how to do the right things, that's fine by me. I'd much rather they lose a few irrelevant games when they are 18 than end up being incapable of the technical level required when they "graduate" into senior football. Obsessing over winning youth games are why English football is in the state it's in

Exactly, it's not that hard to understand. Obviously winning is good and preferable, but producing players is the main priority. If style over results produces better players, you should clearly prioritise style.

The team at a certain age level can be crap, and lose regularly, but if there's a few individuals in the group that make it, that's what success will be judged on. In couple of years no-one will care what the results of the 2013 U21's were. They'll care if Lopes is a regular in the first team though.

24. GOAL CITY! Matrin Samuelsen gives the Sky Blues the lead after Bersant Celina left two defenders trailing in his wake. 1-0

Wow ! Martin Samuelsen call up for u18's !!

Demolition!

@MCFC now
72. GOAL FOR CITY! Jack Byrne gets his second, finishing from an impossibly tight angle. City rampant! 5-0.

This lad Byrne looks a great prospect, immense passing range, dare i say it Scholes-like in some of his passes
