The OFFICIAL Spurs V City Match Thread.

Mancini - 7

Hart - 10 (Brilliant)
Richards - 3 (Really poor)
Toure - 9 (Really impressed with him)
Kompany - 7 (Mainly due to silly booking again)
Kolarov - 6 (Blew hot and cold)
SWP - 6 (Nothing special, should have really scored or at least had a shot)
De Jong - 7 (Some good tackles, solid)
Yaya - 6 (Some good passes, looked knackered)
Barry - 6 (Steady)
Silva - 7 (Looks a good talent)
Tevez - 6 (Didn't really have any support or any real chances)

Zabaleta - 6 (Did ok but passing was terrible)
Johnson - 7 (Added an extra threat when he came on)
Adebayor - 6 (Didn't have enough time to impose himself on the game)

Referee - 7 (Decent enough)

Think your score for Richards & SWP are too generous, and scores for Zabeleta, Tevez, Johnson and especially De Jong were too low. Thought Yaya faded in second half.

bogey team negotiated, defensively superb, including richards who after a shakey start against a top player in bale got better as the game progressed.
much more to come from the forwards
pleased with a point

Pretty pleased really.

For me the bonus (apart from the unexpected point) was that our defence overall were terrific. Not many teams will go to whl this season and withstand the onslaught we faced in the first half and come away with a point.

If we can defend like that all season, and with the added firepower of balotelli up front, we are going to do rather well.

Fucking great result

Was expecting defeat at spuds

Spurs had their best team out at home on the opening day of the season

City had 4 debuts starting in a competitive game
The 4th was Hart who has only played with 3 or 4 of that team

Happy
Considering we have not made a single signing during thisi transfer window I think we did good. Good performance from your keeper, if not for him the ref would have stopped the match at half time.

Considering that that was the best Spuds can play first half and it was probably the worst we'll ever see City play this season a point is a good result. We can only get better , as the second half showed. Once everybody gets used to each other and we have Balotelli and Milner up to speed too we are going to be awesome.

well seeing as we failed to score I can assure you we can play much better. And renenber we are yet to strengthen our squad yet. That was the team that finished 4th with no additions, and you can be sure we will make additions.

Great result!

But why 9 to Hart and no fukin' 10? Mancini should bring him flowers as he saved their colective asses, and Please, next time we play them, Kick back a little, those skinnies underfeed retarded radical baptist sunday church goers lookalike team, including that whoring bird called Crouch, PLEASE!

-- Sat Aug 14, 2010 11:46 am --

Who cares if you will learn to add or subtract?

Kolarov is well good, the reason he blew hot and cold is due to the crunching tackle he took 15 mins or so in...was limping the rest of the half..he owned lennon..

Hart and Bale were the best players on the pitch, both have terrific careers to look forward to.
Well happy today with a point.
