The official "We don't want Wayne Rooney" thread.

Couldn't give a shit that he's one of them. However, we don't need him & why would we want to strengthen one of our rivals by giving them millions to spend.

I can't believe how fickle people are. Haven't you got any self respect? Willing to welcome with open arms the face of the dirty red empire who we've all been abusing, ridiculing and taunting for the past 6 years!

Our word won't mean shit if we welcome him here, what a bunch of hypocrites!

What next Gary Neville anyone??
Well said Brother.

Ok guys answer this question: What happens if Carlos loses his scoring boots or worst still becomes injured due to having to play him every game because of our lack of GOAL scoring forwards?

Do we go with Santa, Jo, Ade or throw in Mario or bring in someone to take the heat off Carlos, set others up and chip in a few goal aswell.

I think the responsiblity of being the main goal threat is frustrating Carlos at the moment, hopefully Ade will get his goal scoring habit back soon and Mario will be fit and ready but........But can we afford to many buts

Rooney would be great at City.

Tevez, Rooney, Ade, Mario, Silva and Johnson= Youth, experience, speed and options....Who the feck in their right mind couldn't see that that there is TOP quality attack. A couple of decent defenders and we could and should beat anyone.

We really cannot afford any gambles at the moment. It will take monumental effort to get him into shape, and at this stage of the season it is a big ask. If produces the kind of form that he is capable of then most sides will want him including us.

-- Wed Oct 20, 2010 12:14 am --

Re: The official "We don't want Wayne Rooney" thread.

It's quite simple...

He is a very, very good footballer. He scores goals. He sets up team mates. He is a class act.

But, if we sign him i'm off. I will not go again. I will not buy another shirt. I don't care if it's childish or immature. The club i have spent my whole life supporting will be dead to me.

we dont need rooney, balo will be back with in few days. if mancini wants to play 3 strikers then i would like to see edin dzeko rather than shrek n Nando

Its not just that though is it ? Im not arsed about damaging the rags (the damage has already been done)..why pay 200k a week x say 4 years = 42 million wed have to cover as a loss when the FPP rules kick in....some may argue that once we get rid of rsc , ade , jo frees up wages BUT Id rather have Carlos who I think is similar type player to rooney but has been far more consistent and reliable , Id be pissed off if we did sign him but would back Mancini 100% if we did

I dont want Rooney anywhere near us unless Tevez confirms he is leaving at the end of the season - something which unfortunatly looks a distinct possibility.

However, it does bother me that Torres will possibley leave English football, as will Shrek and Drogba is end the end of his years.

It looks like a lot of the cream of football are leaving these shores for other countries and theres really only us and maybe Chelsea who can spend to bring them back.

If the quality of English football plumets then there is every chance that owing the best prem team in the country will not be the massive cock-extender is once was to investors. This could then mean that our fantasic owners could pull their money and buy a spanish club such as Athletico Madrid.

Id rather Rooney stay in English football (but not with us). and id rather Some of the smaller teams such as Spurs (grin), both dippers (grin) and the villa did have money to invest in the squad as would benefit English football and indirectly benefit us.

If Mancini says he is interested in Rooney, then I for one will be delighted to take Rooney.

In Mancini we trust surely?

this. i'v not missed a game anywhere for years, but signing rooney would be it for me. he is everything i hate about united, and i how i love hating him. the thought of cheering on wayne rooney whilst our club is paying him 250k a week makes me sick.
