The PGMOL Apologies Thread

Doesn't VAR do that anyway? I'm sure wolves wouldn't have minded a bit of disruption last Monday to get the right decision rather than an apology.
Not exactly, usually there is a break in play whilst a VAR decision is made, however that break in play will be extended. And yes Wolves would have preferred the right decision!

Whats the point. Lets take the other night with the stonewall penalty, the bent Ref's would just say no pen as its against the Rags.... Play on.

The Refs (VAR) involved looked at the incident and after reviewing decided no foul. No review system in the world can fix corruption. It isn't VAR that's the issue (It showed even a village idiot it was a clear penalty), but the corrupt officials who run it.
Considering the fact that the official ADMITTED his mistake against Wolves I would think that a manager contesting it and a subsequent ref video review would have resulted in that decision being overturned among many other future ones.

Why? The manager requests a review. The bent official looks at it (like he did the other night). And decides no pen! Same outcome!

To expect a different outcome from the same team of Officials is fanciful…

As a previous poster said, you only get that decision wrong if you wanted too!!

I think we just need to agree to disagree here, I get the thought about bent officiating but I think that a ref made to look at a situation using video review after a manager request is more likely to result in the correct decision.
