If VAR had been in existence when Clutterbuck awarded that penalty to Spurs for the alleged Sterling hand ball (outside the box) would the decision have been overruled?I remember Clattenburg, after he retired, saying that he knowingly gave a wrong decision Uniteds way as he was scared of Roy Keane. He said he gave a corner when it was a goal kick but looking at his and other officials performances over the years i bet this was more widespread than just 1 corner.
Agree with what you say re refs leaving it to Var and too many officials have no backbone.
Its why they brought in these hew rules, so its easier for them to just wave a card like the Wolves manager received rather than look at why he was so upset
Fucking outrageous. Also bullshit because the VAR officials aren’t at Old Trafford. That’s actually Webbs response….
“If there's a decision you're not sure about, everyone would be impacted by the Old Trafford crowd and the fact it's Manchester United.”
Imagine saying that as the head of all the referees to ensure impartiality. It’s your fucking job not to be impacted by the team & ground.
He should be sacked on the spot for that comment alone.
They'd have said that VAR can't look into it because it was outside the area and let the penalty kick go ahead. If VAR had been in existence when Clutterbuck awarded that penalty to Spurs for the alleged Sterling hand ball (outside the box) would the decision have been overruled?
So.. if Bournemouth build a 80,000 seat stadium and somehow manage to fill it, decisions would go their way as the officials wouldn't want to upset the crowd? That’s actually Webbs response….

Very good
Not the crowd, the TV audience, especially those that need to be told what they see.So.. if Bournemouth build a 80,000 seat stadium and somehow manage to fill it, decisions would go their way as the officials wouldn't want to upset the crowd?
Nice side step. Not the crowd, the TV audience, especially those that need to be told what they see.
Paid up lacky. Fucking bent cunts. The rag atmosphere is shit. The intimidation comes from the suits behind closed doors. Hiding behind the crowd is pathetic. That’s actually Webbs response….
