If true you're delighting in the misery of others? great.

Get a fucking grip. The Scots delight in spending more of English money per head than the English. Let them run their own economy, generate their own taxes etc and live within their means and don't keep asking their bigger brother for a loan.

If we didn't gain from them (Oil, fishing, tax) why were we so adamant for the "No" vote ?

Labour and Lib Dem wanted a No as they had several seats north of the border that would weaken their status in the UK parliament were they to not be there. The Tories didn't want to be known as the party that presided over the breaking up of the union.

I think it's great that the Scots want to have fiscal responsibility and run their economy their way as they obviously have a very different outlook to the rest of the UK. However, they shouldn't rely on any perks from England, which the Barnett formula essentially is.

To Ronny and Hilts.. I don't see it as nations. I see it as people living together, (probably too simplistic) I see no joy in the 'English' doing better than any other nation on earth.

Wow! I admire the principal but folk don't generally think that way.

Any chance of you lending me a few quid? ;-)

I would if I had quids to lend :) I'm a poor man, hence my like of fairness and Marx. I could definitely earn more, but it wouldn't make me happy and I have no desire to anyway. What a twat I am :)

Cameron cannot champion One Nation Conservatism and do anything that risks hastening Scottish independence. At the same time, the SNP block arguably debars Labour from gaining power even in 2020, especially after the boundary changes kick in, so he can play a long game. There is also growing recognition amongst Conservatives that inequality in the country needs to be addressed, and not through trickle down economics.

As long as you are happy that's all that counts

Peace brother.

Labour are to the Right of the BNP. Fucking hell, so Manchester is Right.......!

That graph is ridiculously inaccurate.

It's actually ridiculously accurate.

People who think otherwise tend to think so either because they don't understand the data it is showing or they have an issue with a characterisation of their party - mainly a data problem again
Yes, but you got the other one wrong didn't you.
You are dead to me now

You could make some great points for why it's a bad thing, and some great points for why it's a good thing. I think we're just used to our MPs being middle aged and a bit boring.

If they understand politics and stand for something then I don't care about their age.
Don't you think though that experience of life should count?

Even my boss, a Conservative voter of many years, was incredulous this morning at this news and pretty much said the same thing even though it was a Labour MP that lost their seat.

I rely on you to get things right when it comes to polls and suchlike. After last night, when you gave me a glimmer of hope, I can't forgive you :-(
Apart from that I like you.

Otherwise we have a choice how we are governed.
UKIP: 12.6% of vote; one (1) MP suggests you are labouring under a misapprehension.

I was referring to the Conservative manifesto promise of a referendum by the end of 2017. Not UKIP!

Even now, nearly 24 hours later, I'm struggling to see how a 20 year old has got into power.
