The Post General Election Thread

It is because of posters like yourself that decent debate is such a farce on here nowadays. You add nothing at all. You are not even funny ffs.

Well done.

you are so boring, same old same old hogging the board with your trite left wing political rubbish ruining the board

always towing the same old boring party line

you are an absolute hypocrite ffs

congratulations

I know, in this thread people have said the people voted for Tories because they wanted a smaller state or some other idealogical reason when the truth be told they were more or less the incumbent government and had been restrained from creating social havoc by the Lib Dems, no where apart from vague promise to cut the welfare state did the Tories actually say where they were going to make the savings, we are starting to find out
Given that we were warned of the hordes of Celtic lunatics marching South to ruin merry England forever , and being told that the leadership of the Labour Party was "unelectable" , and given the collapse of the Libdem vote as their constituents punished them for the coalition, and even armed with the greatest economic miracle known to mankind, the Tories increased their share of the vote by a whole 0.8%!!!!
Hardly a ringing endorsement of Tory policies, or an approval of their philosophy, but a vote for "the devil you know".
It should not take too long for the reality to set in.

Dave the Destroyer turned a Coalition into a majority , i'd say that is a ringing endorsement that no one predicted and with his partnership with the SNP the Socialists start the next GE -56, the advantage that the Socialists once had with their Scottish MP's has gone forever.

The more I think about Nicola's performance in the debate where she told Beaker what to do the more I like her.

@bluthrunthru

Call me Dave's decision to leave after two terms is the right thing to do , I see it as a sign of strength , I've always liked the US system of two terms only and I'd like to see us adopt it , as we've seen with Thatcher and Blair three terms in office is too much.

Dave's Britain , yes it is.

According to Jeffrey we're in a period of sustained growth , so one assumes he'll be introducing this legislation in his next budget.
N'est ce pas?
He wants to yes.

Rob stop saying that people just went for the incumbent government. It's bollocks.

Some fucking excellent revisionism.

This was the ONE election Labour should have fucking smashed. Austerity. Double dip. Tuition fees. Bankers.

Two years ago, the Tories were 4/1 to win a majority. The Cookie Monster must have lost a fucking fortune at the bookies (which I think is pretty much his job).

But no, you elected Ed. well, the Unions did. The rest is history.

You may not think it a ringing endorsement for the Tories. But what was it for your mob?

You sound like a scouser trying to take the piss out of City coming second and saying we had a shit season, ignoring quite how shite you were.

And your post about increasing bonuses did?

Whose bonuses? You see just saying that makes you look what you are. Bitter and jealous.

Politics of envy.

Context my boy, context. Read the post again and then take it in context. Its not hard, im sure you can work it out.

The only politics of envy i see are those who for some reason envy people on welfare. I have no issue with those who work hard, pay their tax and contribute to society. Absolutly no issue at all.

But context. You make the poor work harder by "cutting" welfare.....and you make the rich work harder by "Raising" bonuses. If you can not see the contradicition in that then i may as well give up, close my account and post on rag cafe.
