You could make some great points for why it's a bad thing, and some great points for why it's a good thing. I think we're just used to our MPs being middle aged and a bit boring.

If they understand politics and stand for something then I don't care about their age.
Don't you think though that experience of life should count?

Do you need to know how to build a car to run Ford?

The SNP have a 20 year old MP. I understand the dynamics for how she got elected but I'm not sure how this is good.
Depends if she's hot.

Edit: just checked, this isn't good.
Pics?

I'm sure the voters that elected her carefully considered that.

Or... they might have elected a goat as long as it had a yellow rosette.

The Lib Dems are back to their position in the 80's a lot of hard work has been ruined

Labour will recover, they were never going to unseat an incumbent government in it's first term whoever was leading them, all governments get stale eventually and are booted out by the electorate but it takes a couple of tries
The Lib Dems are finished, done, screwed, fucked for good.
Labour, despite your wishful thinking, is also out of the equation for some time. I say this, as I believe they
lack any credible leader, plus, some supporters, incredibly, still believe they lost because they were not left wing enough.
It is this wilful refusal to accept the general landscape that needs addressing, Blair did it, but the current core support hates him.

So what do people think won it for the Tories?

To me, I think it was fear of the SNP having any say in how England was governed, like it or loath it Labour released a nationalist demon when they gave the Scottish devolution, now the genie is out of the bottle, to be fair thought the Tories played a blinder with it as well and milked it for all it was worth.

On the economics front, of course we are in a period of economic growth (albeit starting from a low point) but neither parties figures actually added up, and the Tories never really answered where the 12 billion was going to come from, I am not sure it would have played well on the doorstep if they had been honest, or one can hope that it is something they will try and forgot and try and make up the shortfall with increased tax revenues from growth, we can hope because the prospect is worrying

Well the Scott's have an election next year and then there is the small matter of the referendum, which I think Dave will want to win an in vote and resign if the country says they want out

Not a chance we'll vote to leave
Yep. Apart from UKIP, the whole political establishment will be on the side of staying in. The media will be the same way. That said, I also agree that we should stay in.

If you agree that taxes will be set by Brussels to prop up Ireland, Greece, Spain etc, that we will have a European army and police force and all our decision making is delegated to the Eu then vote to say in. Otherwise we have a choice how we are governed.

History completely proves you wrong.
