Just watched Dave the Destroyers speech, very moving, his passionate , inspiring words are from the heart , a true Leader of our Nation.

Proper champion Dave ....,,,,
Even John Major won an election with a bigger majority .......

A clear mandate from the Electorate, as a bonus he has seen off Salmond , Beaker , Clegg and Farage and destroyed the Socialists.

The Lib Dems are back to their position in the 80's a lot of hard work has been ruined

Labour will recover, they were never going to unseat an incumbent government in it's first term whoever was leading them, all governments get stale eventually and are booted out by the electorate but it takes a couple of tries

The Lib Dems are finished, done, screwed, fucked for good.
Labour, despite your wishful thinking, is also out of the equation for some time. I say this, as I believe they
lack any credible leader, plus, some supporters, incredibly, still believe they lost because they were not left wing enough.
It is this wilful refusal to accept the general landscape that needs addressing, Blair did it, but the current core support hates him.

I read the exact same thing about the Tories during the Blair years, it's swings and roundabouts

It is indeed, and I'm not saying they're in forever, but I think Labour may be waiting some time for it's turn on the roundabout.

You could make some great points for why it's a bad thing, and some great points for why it's a good thing. I think we're just used to our MPs being middle aged and a bit boring.

If they understand politics and stand for something then I don't care about their age.

Don't you think though that experience of life should count?

Yes you're right. Experience is necessary to fully understand a lot of things. But. Some things can be understood without it. Some things are understandably bad without experience as are good. A knife to the face can be understood to be negative and laughing at a joke can be seen to be good, intrinsically. But ideally you want the experienced person, I agree.

Yet good gives meaning to bad, without one you can't have the other. Well that's not true. I believe that there really is no "good" yet only absence of bad.. it gets heavy from here if you do not subscribe to 'pessimistic' philosophy... or realism I would call it. Another thread.

He should won by more .
So it's hardly a ringing endorsement of him and his party .
