Makes you think that MVDP would probably have done the same yesterday if his positioning had been better on the approach to the final climb.

Merlier is 12/1 to win todays stage, has to be worth a small wager EW.

I'd be surprised if Merlier won. He had a crash on Saturday. Bang to the knees and sprained ankle by all accounts.
Today is a lottery. Shitty weather, sprint trains approaching a descent near the finish and then coming off it....
Very good sprint field but it could be attritional if the weather is bad. In that case, it could be a more durable rider like Mads Pedersen who wins. If it's not attritional and sketchy, I would fancy Ewan or Demare. Demare will need his train but not sure they will be together by the bottom of the descent. Hope for Cav though.
