The Pro Road Cycling Thread

Tour of Britain here we go.

Just for Rascal here is Team Sky's line up: Josh Edmondson, Bernhard Eisel, Mathew Hayman, David López, Ian Stannard, Bradley Wiggins

I would imagine Wiggins might leave half way through to get ready for the worlds TT, so I wonder if Josh might get his shot as GC guy?

GP of Montreal was excellent last night. Sagan won it soloing away on the last uphill stint, but there were plenty of signs of life from some of the big guns ahead of the WC RR - though predictably not Andy Schleck who abandoned once again.

Hoping for some good action in the lake district today.

Sagan is amazing. Great win.

Pretty wet stage of the ToB today, but still good to see racing on roads you know. Great crowd on Honister too considering how awful the weather was.

Highlights on ITV 4 at 7pm :)

Hardknott pass would be brilliant. Its the steepest road in Britain at 30%

I drove it a few years back. At the bottom i had to stop as my brakes were overheating and stinking. I drove from the coast side and it is spectacular coming over the top with its views.

Would love to see Winnats pass nr Castleton included one year too as thats 28% and haunted apparently :))

I'm buggered at anything more than 10% how the hell you get up 30% on a bike is beyond me!

Yep 10% is about my limit, and even then only for a very very short time. How they can ride 15km climbs, containing 20-25% sections and north of a total 10% average, is beyond me, let alone doing it at 20k's+ an hour!
