The Pro Road Cycling Thread

Delighted for Pogi, watching him takeoff on the Hautacam in the rainbow bands and getting revenge for what happened in 2022. Extra special watching Visma crumble as well, talking a big game from the start in Lille, trying to irritate Pogacar at every opportunity, all for their mountain train to fail on the first day in the Pyrenees

Whats the score with team Ineos these days, what exactly are they trying to achieve. Fell back in love with cycling during the team Sky/early years of Ineos, but easy to lose interest when I have nobody to root for. Because of City I'm more of a team supporter rather than an individual, Cavendish aside back then ofcourse, but this team seems to be going nowhere.

Managed to catch the last 25km of today’s stage on TV.

Explosive 10 minutes or so from starting to watch. The climb looked steep as they went up it - and they mentioned the team trucks were staying at the bottom.

Ineos have gone the same way as all Ratcliffe sporting adventures

Big Jim appoints Ineos people to key sporting positions, with predictable results. Sport is a highly specialised activity. Few skills in the petrochemical business are transferable to cycling, football et al. You’d think he’d learn the lesson of the Glazres and their accountants running the rags. But no!

I've watched the tdf since a very young age and always loved it. Such a shame so many of the iconic moments were later revealed to be a result of cheating.

I just can't help but feel Pogacar must be on something...he is so far ahead of everyone else and in this truly professional era it doesn't seem natural for his output to be that much better. But you'd have thought they'd be all over him so surely they'd know?! He trains in zone 2 HR with an output of 350 watts!!! For anyone who has been on a bike they'll understand how absurd that is!

An epic ride again. Just got to enjoy how good he is, even if it's a shame it isn't as close a race as we would like to see.

Another fantastic ride by Onley though. A lot of good young riders in this edition.

Remco could be dropping out of the race today looking at this. No hiding place on the Tourmalet. That fog on the descent gonna be very sketchy too.
