I hope the rapture does come tomorrow, if these guys are right then it can't come soon enough. A life that is THAT much of an illogical fallacy is definitely worth ending asap. How could anybody be sure of anything if this is what defines 'proof'?!
1) There's no proof that the dates in the bible are correct
2) There's no concrete proof that a lot of the people in the bible (including Jesus) ever actually existed let alone telling us which day they died.
Even if we assume that the bible is completely factual on these things there's still so much fallacy:
3) 5, 10, 17 are 'special numbers' in the bible. Why? Where's there evidence for that. Where's the evidence for their meanings?
4) Where have they come up with (5 x 10 x 17)^2 being an algorithm for the number of days after Christ's crucifixion that judgement day will come?
5) What on Earth does Noah's Ark have to do with judgement day? 7,000 years after this biblical flood, another doomsday will occur. When does it say that?
6) What systems are they using to calculate their time scales?
There's just so many gaping holes that need answering their 'theory' might as well have been made up by a 5 year old.
It just makes me cry inside to see people using the word 'proof' in such a lame way. I've just spent two bloody hours in an exam proving things rigorously using logical systems. These guys might as well have just destroyed logic and replaced it with guesswork. If we did this then we'd all be living in caves. That's the problem. Ignorant people like this mislead people who don't know any better and it's wrong, it can ruin lives. It's Dangerous.
Sorry for the rant. I've had a stressful day haha
If only there was an algorithm to determine whether a bird fancies you or not ;)
