The Real Balo !

His turn of pace over a yard is the quickest I have ever seen. He can control the football better than anyone I have ever seen. This lad has got the lot and he plays for us. He WILL be the best player in the world within three or four years and if we can keep him we could win anything.

OK... Just had a text off a mate who knows a guy who Balo's done some business with him re Jewellery (bling) and apparently he "hates it here and won't be here next year"...

Hmm..?

bahaha :|.

Was exceptional today, and very controlled given he was systematically assaulted for 90 odd minutes without any assistance from the referee.

Very impressed.

This...they kicked lumps out of him all afternoon.

I hope so mate because he is a very special player. I just posted what I was told... Not saying I believe it or not. Because I honestly don't know.

It could be bull or it could be true. But you're right, if anyone else wants him then they're going to have to pay up because by the end of this season he'll be worth far more than we paid for him and he's on a long contract, but what the small print says is anyone's guess...

Either way it's certainly going to be a roller-coaster having Balo at the club.

I would be skeptical of any story which tells of a professional footballer telling a random person about future career moves.

In my experience, players don't speak in such generalities, when they have a problem they specifically blame someone, like the manager or another teammate. They don't just say "I'll have 2 Carlings and a Shandy please. By the way, I hate Man City and I want to leave".

Well, neither you nor I actually know how well this guy knows Balo or how the coversation(s) went, if at all, so one chooses what one wants to believe.

I haven't made this up, hopefully by now people on here would know I wouldn't... and I want it to be untrue.

There's a long way to go until the summer and who knows a 20year old just might change his mind a couple of times by then..?

It doesn't change my opinion of him as a player one bit.

Settling down in a new country can be difficult, and it takes time I have no doubt that most foreign players take a while, and go through periods of hating it, I have been through the same thing living abroad. I am sure with the right support from the club (and I bet they are giving him support) and encouragement he will soon settle in especially if we give him the platform for him to become one of the very best players in the world

You've noticed what I've seen, he doesn't look 'quick' but he just seems to eat up the ground, especially over that first 2 or 3 yards. he did it a couple of times yesterday from a dead stop, and just left the defenders sticking their feet out at thin air.

I agree and have been through the same thing myself. His injury can't have helped him settle and who in Northern Britain like it at this time of year? It certainly not affected his performances too much has it?

I've still got high hopes of seeing him bang them in for us for a while yet.

He's also genuinely 2-footed, a big plus point for a striker. He's not in the least nervous about taking players on and shooting with his left even though he's naturally right footed.
