The Arsenal fans who go on about the ref's and the linesman's decisions are simply following the line taken by the TV commentator's, and their "agenda" was to try and convince us that what was going on at the Etihad yesterday was actually a "match", rather than the dismantling of Arsene Wenger's team. I have certainly seen our penalty shout given but yesterday it wasn't, and this is true for all the decisions Arsenal moan about - the man who matters didn't take the same view as they wanted to. This is a problem with Arsenal and some other teams - the ref must always interpret the rules to suit their needs. Jack Wilshere, the great young hope of English football, was tweeting about the awful refereeing, as though this the reason they shipped six! They were massacred, but their manager thinks we were not as good as Everton or Southampton, that they were tired (were they so outplayed in Naples that they ran themselves into the ground?), their midfield genius thinks it was only the refereeing and other Arsenal players are similarly looking for excuses. Great, and even very good, teams don't look for excuses, especially after conceding 6, especially when a case can be made that our midfield (and Fernandinho, who played every minute of all three games in the last 7 days, was man of the match) was not as well rested as theirs.
