The Rise of the Far Right

For as long as I can remember I thought I could have been born anywhere. It was just a matter of chance that I was born in the UK.

Similarly I was born male but I could easily have been female.

As it turned out sexually I am straight but could easily have been gay, bi, whatever.

Given these thoughts it seems to me ludicrous to be against any of the groups that I turned out not to be.

As I discovered later American political philosopher John Rawls had formulated much more sophisticated ideas.

One of them being, what sort of government would you want if you didn't know in advance whether you'd be black or white, straight or gay, rich or poor etc

I am surprised that so many people's identity is so tied up with a blanket love of their country. Personally feel there's quite a lot of insecurity going on.

OK, so now you've convinced yourself that you're a mind reader, knowing my opinions better than I do, and you're accusing me of not wanting Robinson stopped.

You've become completely irrational.
Yeah! Like no one ever does that to me.

I have to do a bit of mind reading mate, coz you give us all so little to go on.

Okay, Tommy Robinson is routinely accused of being a racist, something he denies, he has joined Advance UK and has urged all his followers to do the same. Advance UK is led by Ben Habib, a man born in Karachi, Pakistan, he's British Asian, though whether he calls himself that I have no idea and I don't care, and the crowd didn't seem to care too much either, if the loud chanting of his name was anything to go by.

So honest question, as I don't know the answer, and please no swerving.....What the fuck is going on there?

What a pity you weren't available to bang heads together in the Balkans war.

With vision like this you should get on the blower to the Foreign Office and get your arse over to Jerusalem, Moscow and Pyongyang. With your dazzling insight you'll have plenty of time before the Arsenal game to get it all sorted.
I'm laughing. It's a good response.

My post was just a personal reflection of why I feel like I do. It wasn't meant to be a universal truth. I am fully aware that the history of mankind has been built on tribalism.

I'm not responsible for what other people post about you.

You are responsible for completely irrational posts you make about me.

Like knowing my own opinions, and claiming I support Robinson. Which, obviously, I don't.
When did I say that?

Are you going to answer the question I asked or is this another swerve?

He went to Rugby school and is a property developer. I'd imagine he's just a posh grifter like Sunak and that bloke who was chancellor for a day. For them their race is irrelevant they are part of the financial elite of this country.

So they're not racists then? Robinson and his pals?

I'm sure I could have opinions that could possibly fall into all 4.

Free healthcare and social housing yes from me . Left or far left ?

I hate the government and all politician's. Right or far right ?

most people are not that complicated, give me an anti-vaxxer and I'll give you there opinions of pretty much every topic (which is ironic being they call others 'sheep')

Free healthcare and social housing yes from me . Left or far left ?
Left : yes
Far left : yes but coupled with a rant about greedy (Jewish) landlords

I hate the government and all politician's. Right or far right ?
Right: no
Far right: Hilary Clinton eats babies

Most people are intelligent and can tell the difference between the flag being used appropriatelty to represent the country and it's values and when its being misappropriated to make political points by racists and fascists, usually you can tell because the latter will have at least half of their Union flags will be upside down or be using it as a cloak.
I strongly disagree with your first four words:-)

They smile in your face
All the time they wanna take your place ..........

When did I say that?

Here

Of the two of us there's only one who wants Robinson, Musk and Habib stopped and I'll give you a clue which one of us it is....It's not you.

Your question is "What the fuck is that all about", AIUI. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I suggest to try asking coherent question if you want a coherent answer.

Some of their best friends are Asian.

Don't be so simplistic. You suggested that because people were chanting Habeeb's name and that because he's mixed race born in Pakistan, the march was not racist.

I have responded that Habeeb is motivated by money and not race. A guess on my part as I don't know him. And thus agreed with you.

Now Tommy Robinson may feel that Habeeb is a useful ally, and I have said before this march is a broad church. That doesn't mean Robinson is not racist.

But I am guessing the reformed hooligan is just a dishonest grifter like many other leaders these days.

Ben Habib?

Another rich immigrant opposed to poorer immigrants?

We've been here before.

Perhaps this in relation to Muslims:

Additionally, as I have mentioned before, it’s possible to identify with or even lead a far-right party or movement whilst not being part of the majority ethnic/religious group in a given country. See, for example, Guramit Singh Kalirai*(EDL), Enrique Tarrio (Proud Boys), and Tomio Okamura (leader of the Czech SPD).

*I think Kalirai was one of Robinson’s party that got refused service at that restaurant recently. Nice bloke.
