The Roma match has convinced me...

I disagree. I think we need to play Clichy as the clear 1st choice and let him find some form. On top form he is one of the best in the prem and it would be difficult to find a clear cut better player. I’m not a Kolarov fan but as a back up we could do worse – Angelino will come in for the latter part of this season and ready to step up for next season.

We need to designate a midfield player to cover the left side behind sterling and to drop in to left back when Clichy goes forward – Barry used to do this. Delph is the man for this role. He is left footed and would sit nicely in that hole with Dinho on the right side. Yaya in central midfield and the front 3 picks it’s self. Formation and discipline is a big part of our left side problem as we have left sided players in Sterling and Silva who fantastic but will always bomb forward when we are in possession.

I understand your points but I've seen enough of Clichy and Kolarov to stick to my opinion.

They are of course ok for most of our games but I struggle to think of too many times against top class opposition where either have had the impact we need, especially away from home.

We dine at the top table in pretty much every position, full back is such a crucial one and we've not got it right.

PS - really enjoyed the kids today - what a future some have

Incredible ability and a cool finisher for his age.

Gonna say it over and over again. Never been as excited for an upcoming season as I am about this one. It feels different to all the others since the take over. The kids are maturing, we're refreshing the squad, we have an English impetus again which is always important - everything just feels right not just for the short term but the long term too.

Remember Neville and his wanking over Chelsea's so called long term planning of their squad as opposed to our supposed short term planning. Well I think that's going to have a remarkably different complexion when we have two or three from the youth teams actually in our first team squad whereas Chelsea, for all their lip service to developing players, still haven't got one from the new generation even close.

Nacho clearly has amazing potential but he clearly needs to work on his hold up play...and not giving the ball away.

I agree incredibly exciting. We'll be massively underrated this season by the media, who love Chelsea, and that suits me fine.
