It's hard to argue with that. It was wonderful watching the master (Merlin) and his artful apprentice (Garcia) weaving their magic in the first half.As good as Denayer, Lopes and Kelechi were, I'm still most impressed by Garcia. He's 17. SEVENTEEN! And has been playing against seasoned pros and looking the part. Boy has unbelievable talent.
Of the ones you mentioned each brings something different. Kelechi is astonishingly confident and played a beautiful ball for Sterlings goal. Denayer looks like he could come from Jamaica, he is that cool. Lopes in my opinion needs to learn to sustain his performance during a game, although his skill level is excellent and he almost scored a cracker of a goal. I enjoyed Barkers performance. He showed some quality touches, but I would like to see him work harder off the ball. This of course will come with experience. I also thought Horsfield did very well at right back.
Overall the future is indeed very exciting.
