Three years I would think.
Scotland will seek to rejoin and commence discussions during the transition phase away from UK. Where there is a will there is a way.
Oh, I think it would happen, but I also think it's better to be realistic and honest with the electorate, though I admit that is a rather old-fashioned concept in UK politics.
 
I tend to agree with that irrespective of financial criteria. Membership of the euro might have to wait until certain criteria are met though. Until then we can always use Sterling with some of the associated downside.
Don't think any 27 would have an issue if Scotland wanted to keep the pound, it's more about whether Scotland wanted England regulating their currency and interest rates.
Ireland did quite well for years with the punt which was linked to Sterling, Scotland could try something similar.

Scots already have their own currency ... linked to sterling.
 
I strongly believe in the right to self-determination and independence but i'll genuinely be very sad if they end up leaving.

Just wouldn’t want it linked quite as long ;-)
