The Scottish Politics thread

Oh, I think it would happen, but I also think it's better to be realistic and honest with the electorate, though I admit that is a rather old-fashioned concept in UK politics.
Hopefully the negotiation will be held with grown ups rather than the current democratic vandals.
 
Having lived in England for 44 years and Scotland for 30 years I very much favour independence in principle. I would however like to have referendum where 60+% were in favour and would be worried if less than 55% were infavour. The short to medium term economics don’t look very good with or without independence so that isn’t much of an issue for me. Long term Scotland can do well economically, I think.
Less than 55% took them out of another union.
 
I have reached the stage of voting for independence without seeing the plan. It’s gone to far to draw back. We will vote yes and then make it work come hell or high water.
That’s the spirit.
Look how Brexit turned out.
What could possibly go wrong.
