We don't want to leave. The majority up here don't even want a referendum far less separation. Sturgeon has a mandate to run the country but has no mandate for Independence, but has to be seen to be appeasing the morons at all times regardless of the damage it's doing the country.

Counties like Dumfries-Shire, Scottish Borders and possibly Lothian would demand a referendum to then leave Scotland. Business and decent people would head South and all you'd be left with is the Neds and knuckledraggers.

Not true, I think there is a small majority, one thats growing.she may not have a mandate for independence , she does have a mandate to ask for an independence mandate though. We shouldn't need to doff our caps to Westminster to ask permission for it though, not in a so called union of equals.

They signed up to the Edinburgh agreement to respect the result of the 2014 independence referendum. 24 hours after the verdict Sturgeon was saying we should have another one. They refused to accept the result and it would be the same the next time and so on until they actually won one.
And guess what the first thing is they would do if we were ever daft enough to vote it through, they'd bring in legislation to ban any future referendum on going back to the UK.

Calling those who wish independence ‘morons’ , and those left ‘Neds’, and ‘knuckledraggers’ is hardly conducive to good debate. By all means oppose the principle, but there is no need for that.

Does that mean anybody that supports independence is indecent?
I think you will find that Lothian votes SNP. Maybe Morningside will seek independence?
