The Scottish Politics thread

Sturgeon is a very good politician, but I don't think anyone has done more for Scottish independence among non SNP, traditional unionists supporters over the last 6 -7 years than the conservative party.
What they have clearly demonstrated for everyone is the clear democratic deficit that exists in the present Union.

I’d love to see Sturgeons face if Scotland still voted remain, I personally don’t like her she’s just fixated on this, I’d love to see it go tits up just for her to fuck off. I personally couldn’t give a toss if it hapless but how many times should you keep having a referendum?

As many times as the people of Scotland want it.

That would make a searching question to her. So, Nicola, First Minister and leader of the Scottish National Party, why in hells name are you fixated on Scottish Independence??

The problem with the Green party is they just keep banging on about the environment.

But if they keep voting remain they obviously don’t want it, or do you mean those in power who won’t listen to the people? Seems there’s a lot of that these days.
How many referendums do you think there have been? There has been material change since the last one or does that not matter either?

New Chancellor Jeremy Hunt told the Commons: "The central policy of the SNP, independence, would leave turmoil for Scotland not for weeks but many years to come.

so no change there then
Bastard said that with a straight face too.
