Very pertinent line:I sometimes wonder if there is simply a resigned acceptance now among Westminster politicians, particularly Conservatives, that Scotland is going to become Independent, so there is little point in changing the situation. I listened to Brown this morning repeat his 2014 pleas, yet nothing has been done to improve the relationship since then, despite the pledges, and indeed Brexit has only exacerbated matters. Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
