Personally, I don't think it is any 'one individual' footballer, but maybe stories of 4 or 5 different footballers, being marketed as the account of the same person for book purposes. Reading it, you like to think it is a big name England international like Gerrard or Lampard, rather than somebody like Dave Kitson who may have made a 2 minute substitute appearance once for England and spent most of his career playing in the Championship!

Played with Di Canio at Charlton.
Won the pfa player of the year at West Ham, can't remember what season.
Transferred to Spurs from West Ham on deadline day.
Was in a relegation battle with West Ham.
Was he a record signing for any of his clubs?

You can buy book on a tablet or kindle etc for 4quid.
I'm convinced its Kitson, on another forum we narrowed down to Shorey, Kitson or Parker. Kitson was the name that kept coming up, he does on most footie forums too.
Theirs another good book called Broken Dreams I'm gonna get following a recommendation, hints upon a few ropey managers I.e commonly rumoured crooks.
What ever happened to Peter Harrison exposing the dodgy managers btw?

i'm going to stick for my choice of Alan Smith,
"Smith won the "Supporter's Player of the Year" award two years running between 2003 and 2004"
relegated with Leeds
became a midfielder
i'm sure he had his problems at Newcastle
he'll know plenty of England players from his time at U*****
joined MK Dons, could've been their record signing surely?
