Bazil.
He’s gone now, lasted until he was 18, don’t let that soft little face lull you in, he was utterly fearless, and fast as lightening (ask my old vet, the only cat who got him in 50 years, I did warn him he was quick lol, but he didn’t take my advice ) and yet so incredibly loving and gentle.
I think sometimes, you have that one pet that you just get, and it gets you, he was mine.

Lost him last Tuesday, was a little star 14 going on 15.went downhill after his vaccination and cost us a fortune with the robbing bastard vets trying to save him

Genuinely sorry for your loss mate, I don't care what people say I have a good blubber when an animal of mine dies.

Thanks mate. The wife got diagnosed with secondary progressive ms 6 months after we got married and we decided not to have kids so our pets are our life. We are still choked but all our friends say get another one sooner rather than later. There's one available from our breeder ready on 1st July

We have decided that the 2 we have now will be our last, the young one is only 3 and the older one is about 14, we have agreed that it would cause too much stress if we coughed it whilst our wards are still with us.

Morbid but practical.

All my kids have flown the nest and I love them dearly but even they joke about us loving the Cats more ;O

I agree, I'm 60 now and this will be our last pet if we get it as I do think what would happen if we pop our clogs
