The simple truth...

Likkle City supplanting them hurts. It hurts them bad bad bad. On the week of the UEFA/ESL insurrection, a Rag mate was lamenting about how hated the Glazers & 'Wastewood' are, how decrepit the stadium is & how much they hate having to compete for the league & a place in Europe.

Every complaint was followed by a comparison to City. Imagine being the big bad bully for the best part of two decades, & then being usurped by your favoured victim? THIS is how the Rags view their situation & City.

It's not just the fact we're competing with them, it's the fact they know we're bettering them in every department aside from turnover & attendance. They've grudgingly accepted Sheikh Mansour & his Trillions are here to stay. They've grudgingly accepted Txiki & Soriano are the real deal. They're still stunned that Guardiola is our manager & has spent more time here than at any other club, & seems perfectly happy & at ease.

It kills them that their FFP attempt gave us 'A pinch' back in 2014, but were knocked sideways when CAS fucked off UEFA/G14's 2020 attempt to neuter us. But worst of all isn't the success, it's the way we've gone about it & the football we've played!

My Rag mate was spitting out his grudging admiration for our 22nd Century brand of football which has not only set the Prem alight, but even worse has influenced the way all British teams are playing. Playing out from the back, retaining possession, favouring skillful players over big, strong fast brutes..... It's just NOT the ManUre/English way & it's killing the bastards.

This is why the thought of the Dippers beating them at Old Toilet, & ending their faint title hopes was too much to bear. Stop the match, force City to win the title themselves, have the consolation of knowing they had a small effect on our season by doing this & denying us 4 points is about as much consolation they can hope to eke out of this bad situation.

They know we're going nowhere & will strengthen again in the summer as will they & all their other challengers. Just as any other typical bully, they just can't accept there's someone they can't push around. It's especially worse that it's their former victim & geographically nearest rival. This is why it was so important to have yesterday's Debtors Derby postponed.

You're looking at yesterday's events through rose coloured specs mate. Trust me, stopping the Dippers at Old Toilet from handing City the title without kicking a ball was what it was all about.

For ManUre fans, yesterday was mission accomplished.
Correct. We have to remember..when we pipped them to the title their disgusting fan base went for the City store in town. They are vile bastards. Hooligans who are very much anti City. Glazers forever

I think when the rag scrotes attacked the City store we were all at Wembley for the FA Cup if i'm not mistaken. Cowards either way.

And what if the gap was 3 points? I’m sure we’d all be crying foul, I’d also expect the club to be lobbying the Prem, we shouldn’t lose sight of the fact that a few thousand morons have changed the sporting integrity of a competition, it sets a dangerous precedent & the Premier league should be coming down heavy on it, preferably before tomorrow nights massive game which is being threatened by the same idiots
Yes, exactly that. They've managed to get the match called off, which one of the protesters claimed was exactly the aim, and this is the difference between our protests in yhe 90's or any other protest that has gone before.
Already explained. But to expand some groups protest on a Saturday so they don’t miss work and lose money. Protest for a semi or a dead rubber game? Seems logical to pick the dead rubber game no?

Anyhow I give up it was really a cunning plan to annoy City and tell the Glazers they are sick of City winning the league even though we have been outperforming them for years. They chose now and it being right after the ESL shite when other fans have also demonstrated is just a huge coincidence.

I totally agree that's the logical case, but I still think the fact that they know the media would have claimed that they'd "handed us the title" if they had lost the match wasn't entirely lost on at least some of them.

There are other matches they could have chosen, and Thursday's match was hardly a daytime match so I don't buy that as a reason for them not protesting then, they would have still been able to rustle up enough fans to make the protest count at the Roma fixture. In which case they could have picked the Leicester Match or the Fulham match at the end of the season, the only difference being we will have probably won the title by then so any disruption wouldn't have affected us. Too much of a coincidence for me.

I'm more interested to know why the PL or FA don't seem to be concerned in the slightest that a match has been postposed. Run on the pitch at the end of the match and there are potential punishments; break into a ground and run onto the pitch and get a match abandoned doesn't seem to be a problem.

Exactly. That's why I'm sure that the fact that yesterday's action preventing us from winning the title on the day isn't just a coincidence.
