I looked more into it on soprano fan sites and they mentioned that stuff like... when he puts his onion ring on his tongue like Catholics do in church...
I'm a Catholic and I've never heard of putting onion rings on the tongue for any reason.
Makes for a whole new Communion rite. 'Onion rings or bread wafer, sir?' (No offence intended, whatsoever.)

After Breaking Bad ended, I felt a void in my life – and that’s when The Sopranos was introduced.

IMO, it doesn’t have the usual episode after episode of cliffhangers, however it’s still an incredible show, and whilst I never thought 24 could be topped, and then seeing Breaking Bad top that, I didn’t think I’d watching anything else as good, if not better, again.

What do BM’ers on here think about this show, and more to the point, what do you think about the ending? I had a feeling something like that would happen, but not as “abrupt” (for want of a better word) as it did.

Do you think Tony was killed in that diner? I’m starting to lean toward the fact that he actually wasn’t, and instead was beginning to live the rest of his life a little paranoid, as all his former crew members tended to do (Chris, Pussy, Paulie etc were all, at many points, looking over their shoulders thinking they were a moment away from being whacked). There’s the song (Don’t Stop Believing) that was playing whilst he sat waiting for AJ & Meadow to arrive, and I don’t know whether the lyrics (it goes on and on and on and on……) backed up my opinion that he wasn’t shot.

The only other potential theory that I can think of is that he was shot, and that it was possibly masterminded by Patsy Parisi (his twin brother Philly was murdered by an arranged hit from Tony early in the show), and was expertly carried out by getting his Son involved with Meadow. Presumably he could then, if he wanted to, take out Paulie, leaving him as the only member let of Tony’s crew as Sil was out of the picture now for sure. Of course he could think the opposite, and saw an opportunity to work as either a Capo or Underboss to Tony, with only Paulie remaining, however that seems unlikely, as he thought that would happen when Pussy was whacked but Christopher got the nod instead, despite being his junior, which clearly pissed him off at the time.
Sorry if there’s already a Sopranos thread knocking about – I’ve not actually seen one (only a thread on “what box sets should I watch”).

Loved this show,watched every one
The ending was in keeping with the, you never see it coming theme that ran through everything
It was the best way to end it i think
Bit ironic the actor himself died suddenly and without warning as well

I always took it as we the audience were the ones who got whacked, we didn't see it coming it just went black.

Just couldn't get into it at all, gave it 2 and a half seasons so it got a fair chance.

Breaking bad is on a completely different level.
