The South Stand Tonight And The Drum

I think we need a poll on the drum. Also I'd like to see age categories too. I'll bet my house that the majority of over 40s are saying no to the drum and the majority of under 40s are more positive about it. Ageist, probably.

I'm 54 and I'm in favour of anything that gets people singing.
I didn't notice the drum at the game but did pick it up on TV when I watched the game back.
I did notice that more people were singing where I sit - East stand Lower, 105 (half way line).
I'm pro drum if that's what it takes to improve the atmosphere.

I’m not against a Drum in principle. I think it’s the wider Cheesy Ultras thing that is naff (see Palace). A drum used at the right time adds to the atmosphere especially with songs like the Guardiola song. A load of middle aged IT geeks pretending to be Italian style Ultras is a huge embarrassment and something else entirely.
Yep spot on and please no St Pauli wo wo woing.

The drum, didn't think I would ever agree to one of these, however football support has changed , anything that will add atmosphere is ok with me now, we are sat in north stand and to be fair probably the worst part of the ground. Last night when the south stand sung and carried it on it did start to filter to us. The drum I think can be used to get this going more often but maybe put it in a corner so it doesn't drown out people.

Keep the drum where it belongs please, in the south stand toilets

The German fans were "slow clapping" at the same time as the Pep song which kept us in time so maybe the drum can also keep us in time with "slow beat"
I still think that the song would be good with reference to City as follows
You say that you love me
You'll always be true
You signed for City
You'll always be Blue

Couldn't make the game but watched on tv and even BT sport commented on the atmopshere. Couldn't hear the drum but if it worked then it's worth a try. Some people will never be pleased but if it got ppl singing I couldn't give a fuck.

Good man!

I was in block 115 last night usual seat is 317. I thought the atmosphere was brilliant. I am not that bothered by a drum if it helps create a better atmosphere bring it back. I'm sick of people moaning and not joining in with songs we need to back the lads win loose or draw.
