you would...

Arsenal were unlucky when you beat them 5-1.

See we can all play that game.

Not really...As Stony pointed out, they were toothless - they play some nice stuff but they lack the incision a good striker gives them, hence my point about them having a better striker. Certainly gave me hope going into next weeks game, the city defence is definitely exploitable

We have conceded three goals throughout February / March and 1st week in April in the PL. The defence is pretty good thanks.
Will he start going on about History like they all do?

You're taking more than a little artistic licence with what I said. They were toothless because we defended well.

I'd like to see them next season to see if they can build on this. Swansea were the Southampton of last year and Laudrup was supposed to be the next up and coming manager - hasn't worked out so well.

If Pochettino can improve them further he's going to get some big offers from big football clubs coming his way.

great side........ have quality footballing side all over the park and should be the backbone of english world cup squad.

shame for Rod` as he was on fire. lambert is a class centre forward who should start with shrek in the summer for england.

Another breaking story from last night, Southampton striker Jay Rodriguez will miss the World Cup after rupturing his anterior cruciate knee ligament.

The 24-year-old had hoped to be part of the England squad in Brazil after winning his first cap last year.

But he will now have surgery to repair the injury sustained in the defeat at Manchester City on Saturday. and is expected to be out until October.
Poor lad, must be gutted.

Never know with the England set-up but he would definitely have gotten in on merit imo.

Whilst our defence is, to a degree, exploitable, I think people have over emphasised the defence as a weakness, probably around the inclusion of Demichelis in it. In our last 6 away league matches we've conceded 2 goals (compared to scoring 13). That's pretty good all things considered.

Never let facts get in the way of a good ol' footballing myth ;-)
Plus the fact we have the 2nd best defensive record in the league.
Or is everyone now saying that's down to Joe ;-)
