Koeman did well at Feyenoord and works very well with young players, but this is a much tougher challenge.

Has he made a bid for Guidetti yet? Koeman said he was as good as Ibra at the same age during the season John was there. And they need a replacement for Lambert.
Koeman is not going for Guidetti but for the current Feyenoord striker.

Graziano Pelle will join Southampton on Monday for 8 million.

Feyenoord may come in for Guidetti when Pelle officially leaves.

That would make sense, suggests Koeman rates Pelle more than Guidetti? How much could Feyenoord reinvest if they wanted to sign Guidetti? Also, what is the wage structure like as John is on something like £20,000/week here.

I don't expect that Feyenoord will want to pay more than 1,5 million Euro's (around 1 million GBP) for Guidetti as he hasn't played any serious football in the last 2 years. The maximum wage that Feyenoord pays to a star player is 1 million Euro's per year (15k GBP per week).

Thanks. But to be honest, despite his contract coming close to its end and his stock falling, I think City will want more than that unless maybe they put a 50% sell-on clause for his next sale. Guidetti seems to have a lot of ties to Italy through one of his agents and there's always clubs like Lazio linked with him.
