Forever remembered as the clueless one.

I'd draw a comparison with Moyes. Not inherently a bad manager but limited and well out of his depth at top level. Once we got rich, expectations outstripped anything he could deliver.

His least endearing trait was to routinely lambast refs every week as a smokescreen for the team's shortcomings. I could never take to someone who behaves like that.

I'm still yet to hear an interview where he admits that anything was his fault.

at Manchester City for signing Pablo Zabaleta for £6.45 Million and Vincent Kompany for £6 Million. I for one will salute you for starting our fabulous side that will become City Legends.

anybody who thinks this guys clueless needs to give their head a wobble.

Thank you Mark

IIRC Zabba was not a first team player under hughes and was certainly nothing like the player that Mancini made him into. As for Vinny, hughes would not even play him as a centre back, he played him as a defensive central midfielder, again it was Mancini who made this change. Hughes was a useless clown and overpaid for Kolo Toure, Bellamy, Adebayor, Lescott, Santa Cruz, Bridge and various others. He also played ched fucking evans ahead of Sturridge and allowed Sturridge to not get a new contract

Agree with most ,I think we probably just about got our moneys worth with Lescott though ,he's made a big contribution since he signed.

Re: Mark Hughes forever remembered

Not sure what 'Robbo' loves so much about Hughesless, but it's I a bit odd. Kompany was a bit part player, Hughes used him as a back up defensive midfielder to De Jong. He had no real clue of his talent. Hughes obviously saw him as a defensive midfielder, yet signed De Jong for £18m was it? He also spent £40m on two central defenders when Kompany clearly had potential to be one of the best in the World.

Hughes spent the obscene fortune, the stick we are still beaten with today to go nowhere. Fuck me the Rags were singing about us getting relegated. Hughesless took us from 9th to 10th spending millions, we were 8th when he was sacked after spending £100 m plus again.

Zabaleta & Kompany were a success inspire of Hughes. De Jong was a good player, good for the club.

It was Mancini that made these players what they are.

As some have suggested, Kompany & Zabaleta were unlikely to be Hughes picks. As he demonstrated with Komoany and the players he signed, he had no clue...
