If we really get this Wesley guy we are doomed unless he is the reincarnation of Dani alves/ Maicon or Cafu. He can’t be our dream choice. Would make sense if we go for 2 RB but not just him. Again. There is some rat in the club

Our wingers are shit, we have no natural fullbacks and our midfield is compose of former greats and newbies Pep don't even touch with a pole. I just don't know what's up anymore with our transfer strategies. After the CL win it has been an absolute train wreck. Please tell me we have a more coherent plan this transfer window.

It’s what we did after we won the prem for the first time. Weird isn’t it, you’d expect us to go on and buy more world class but instead get to the end of transfer windows and panic buy £50 mill duds

You might occasionally unearth a rough diamond, such as Akanji, and you might discover a youngster ahead of time, but quality costs money, and nowadays even anything around the 50 million GBP mark carries a caveat emptor.

It doesn’t look that way. We’ve been consistently buying just beneath world class:

Kovacic
Nunes
Doku
Savinho
Marmoush
Nico
Reis
Kush
Gundogan

The exception is Gvardiol and perhaps the likes of Reis and Kush will come good in the future. Of all the others I can see Marmoush maybe becoming a first team player and maybe Savinho. All the rest will be squad players at best.

I know we can’t sign world class players every window but our squad has slowly been declining for the last two seasons and with KDB and so many others moving on this summer (and rightly so by the way) we must replace them for quality or be left behind.
