The Squad planning thread

Players we bring in always fizzle out and never make as big of an impact as they are expected to...

Phillips
Gonzalez
Nunes
Grealish
only these are from recent times

You can guarantee if we brought someone in like Bowen, GibbsWhite, Reijnders, they'd never make as big of an impact as you'd expect them to for that kind of money

That’s not true. We’ve signed plenty of players who have either lived up to their hype or been better than expected:

Sergio
Yaya
Silva
Kdb
Ferds
Rodri
Kompany

To name a few

We need a new vision here. Tactically we are bankrupt. I watched the U18s play Villa prior to the Cup Final. Villa did exactly the same to us as Southampton and Palace did. It was the same game. This side to side , possession football is now not working.
It is not all about the players, we have to evolve tactically. This has always been Pep’s strength. I hope he has more in his locker because right now it is too easy for average teams to beat us..

I’d be guessing that Bernardo is staying now after those comments he made about finding out which players they could go to war with in the difficult moments and saying he has his opinion on how we can go back to where we were from this.

Always?

Kun, DSilva, Vinny, Fern, Rodri, KDB, Bernie, Gundo 1.0 all disagree to name a handful.

If alway our players fizzled we wouldn't have posted some of the greatest football in our lifetime over the last decade plus.
Only 3 of them were Pep signings..
