We should’ve been all over Semenyo IMO.
Quality player, would definitely be going for him next season to replace Doku.

He was asked by a journalist what the expectations were for this season. He said he expected a good season but that if we were comparing to recent past City sides then “we are going to lose”When dod he say that?
Not that he is not right.
So Ortega stays until he's effectively out of contract in January and will be registered for PL/CL now Gundo & Akanji are gone. 4 keepers - what a waste of a squad place. Appalling squad planning.
Hmmmm ….”not only on the pitch”
"I think outside (of the pitch), many things have to improve."
Interesting...
I always pay attention to Rodri. First he did an interview with the Fail saying he feared for his health because of the amount of games he was having to play, which was a direct dig at Philips. Up to that point, I was all for giving Kalvin time, but after that I promptly changed my mind. All is not well it seems. He could be talking about professionalism or winning mentality or more specific things he can’t say without naming names.
Maybe he's pointing out some of our recent acquisitions from the Bundesliga were not really team players - hopefully now pursuing their fortunes elsewhere. Not at all sure that Traff in particular has enjoyed the vibe although his new companion will no doubt exercise him as well.I always pay attention to Rodri. Then he made comments alluding to our squad size being too small & the strain it was putting on Pep's small squad, which probably reflected the feelings of the squad. Following that, both Foden & Bernardo made similar comments.
In his post match interview on Saturday, he used the word "kids" three times, which possibly meant we made too quick a transition from the treble winners to a brand new squad who didn't get the Manchester City work ethic & playing ethos. Again, this was down to Pep refusing the offer to start our succession planning until it was too late.
Now this comment today. I take this to mean things on the training ground & in the dressing room aren't too good. If you stand back & take a global overview of the Rodri, Foden & Bernardo comments, it seems they're aimed at Pep.
Rodri is far too intelligent to make throwaway comments without being aware of their impact. What he said on Saturday & in this tweet is calculated. It does seem all isn't well. Fuck! :-/
I don't see it as that tbh. If you look back at his comments from 2 years ago & boil them down, they all lead to Guardiola decisions.Maybe he's pointing out some of our recent acquisitions from the Bundesliga were not really team players - hopefully now pursuing their fortunes elsewhere. We have to do everything we can to keep Rodri at the club. He will drive the standards, which have fallen off the cliff. Too many passengers and you could see on Sunday how mentally fragile we are, which would never have been the case a couple of seasons ago.
Whether he is criticising the coaching or the general attitude of players, I'm not sure, but it's good someone is and he is the guy people should listen to.
Hopefully Donnarumma brings some extra presence and professionalism to the team asap. The collapse of the best team in the world in 2 years is genuine staggering
Said on another thread I can't believe no one went for him before he signed the new contract. Physically an absolute beast and so comfortable moving into goal scoring positions.
Doku has this season and if he doesn't impress he will be out the door and I would expect us to be all over him.
