Rumors in Italy we’ve offered 50 million euros for Palestra, don’t know how reliable that is. His club want 70 million euros but will do a deal at 60

I think that's a pretty sensible negotiating position for him. I was sure we'd tied him up with an extension pretty soon after we signed him, must have imagined it

Guehi & Khusanov were a pretty strong partnership, and Dias is still a fairly reliable defender

Sometimes you have to sell players you dont want to, we're fortunate it hasnt happened to us that often but Gvardiol maybe jsut fancies something else... or maybe its just agent stuff

It's the natural post-Pep circus. Every player at the club will suddenly want to leave.

Just look at the nonsense on this forum. Everyone is bored, so the media just stir things up.

We won't let Gvardiol go. He's a superb defender, one of the best in the world and exactly the player we want at the club.
 
Reading this and the player threads, it's almost as if we're having a fire sale! Pep goes and the whole place starts to implode. I thought we were nearly there with the rebuild, maybe 2/3 players short that's it.

Rodri, Dias, Gonzalez, Savinho, Marmoush, Foden, Reijnders, Donnarumma, RAN, Ake. Probably a couple of others I can't think of. All going/wanting to leave according to the forums.

With the exceptions of Stones and Silva who have essentially retired from PL football, those are the only two positions we need to replace at the moment. Everything else is rumour driven. If we're going to sign Anderson, and both Rodri and Gonzalez are off, then we already need a back up for Anderson!

We will be linked with every man and his dog before the window shuts. However if it’s true makes the Porro rumors interesting. Back up option ? Or Nunes to midfield ?

We have to remember that for the last ten years the club has really been a closed-shop: probably the best football in the world, and the best coach surrounded by a tight leadership group with nothing getting to the press before we wanted it to. The press and socials will now chance their arm for clicks. They will speculate. They might find that Viana and Maresca give them a bit more and they will run with the stories because there is change at the club. Fans of other clubs click because they feel that this is the end of our dominance so a player wanting to leave, especially one who we may wish to keep, is a flicker of hope.
It will all come out in the wash, and I'm excited for the future.
