So Why should hard working people have to pay in excess of £1,000k per week to live there and those in Social Housing don't....?

So does that imply people on social housing don't work hard? Re phrase your questions...... Why should rich people not get everything they desire and why shouldn't the poor do exactly what they're fookin told! Rents are a 1000 quid plus a week cos tosser politicians of all sides are bent and have no desire to A stand up to the mega rich and B represent all members of society. The present government being the very worst of this attitude. Torys eh..... Just like Marmite..................fookin disgusting!!!

LOL nobody is telling those living in social housing what to do. I love it when socialists get wound up and paint an inaccurate picture of what's going on. The rich aren't a group, they are individuals with money. It's a childish analogy of baddies and goodies.

Like it or not council's budgets have been chopped and decisions need to be made to accommodate these changes to expenditure. Socialism doesn't generate income for t
he government without increased taxation. So to make sure taxes remain as they are and keep them down the government has decided to sell off the land to raise income. Fact, the area will probably prosper from millionaires moving in and spending their money (if they choose to actually live in the building).

Like it or not but London is our economic power house.
You really are coming across as an odious poster. I'm sure your a good person but ffs you basically just said its a good thing because the area millionaires live in will prosper because they are there. What about the areas where they are not? who gives a fuck eh as long as your "prestige" areas flurish.

The LOCAL council doesn't care about any other areas though.

The only way that would change is if the government delegated less to the local councils and controlled more decisions centrally or at least in bigger areas/regions, something the Tories are working on to an extent.

So what are you saying? that because they don't its alright? that because they don't no one else should? I really don't get some of the posts in this thread. They are being moved for richer tenants. It will happen in the neighbouring areas because councils will make more money from moving people than they can from leaving them where they are. Honestly who can be ok with that. Some of the posts here are like stuff you would of expected in an harry enfield yuppie sketch 20 years ago.

I think I may of changed my opinion on this.

We need a society where the rich live with the rich, the poor live with the poor, the rich are educated with the rich, the poor with the poor. The rich are cured of the ailments with the rich, the poor with the poor. The rich shop with the rich, the poor with the poor. The rich have 5 houses, the poor have non, the top 2 percent have 80 per cent of the wealth the bottom 20 percent have minus wealth (only debt) we need the chance to get on being crushed and all crime seen as and reported as a poor against rich phenomena! Cos that worked SO well in Soweto!

While I am no fan of Labour, at least some things they did were for the betterment of society as a whole.

This mob do nothing that doesnt help them or their kind and generally improve their lot.

This is a small insight into the way they work.

It's around the eviction of social housing tenants to make way for swanky flats that are going to be sold to the mega rich. Is a utter disgrace and weirdly you don't hear that much about it in the mainstream media! Can't think why. Thank God for YouTube
<a class="postlink" href="https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RF-7-LwTy5c" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RF-7-LwTy5c</a>

What have Labour done that benefited society, given people money for sitting on their arses? Created a society of degenerates who believe they have a right for everything to be done and paid for them? They also pumped in billions into an illegal war and was responsible for sending hundreds of our countries best to their deaths. I ask what can Labour do for any of us beyond the usual crap of so called standing up for the many. This is not true anyway, Labour cannot object to the cuts and they will HAVE to increase taxes to pay for every single promise they make. That is why they aren't making any promises because they quite simply cannot keep them!

Social housing is not a right of birth, the whole point of it is to provide a place to live whilst the tenants look to move on to better things. If they are knocking down social housing at the expense of moving people in with money and creating wealth in the area and for the country, what is the problem? People in social housing have to accept that simply being in the system means you are not entitled to that house, it isn't your house and the conditions are simple. If they don't like it then they can always get a proper house and pay for it like the rest of us !

So what?

All families were successfully rehoused by other London boroughs.

Notting Hill is a prestigious part of London. Why should hard working people have to pay in excess of £1,000k per week to live there and those in Social Housing don't....?

Bit of social cleansing never hurt anyone did it ah Foxy?

The little leftie arguments always fall down when the question of who pays for it comes up, who for example fund the subsidies for social housing ?,
Could it be the people who pay council tax, why that would mean that those who choose to live in nice areas and so pay a higher amount are footing the bill.

Maybe its "The government" ( tax payers) who foot the bill, but as rich people pay more tax ( The top 3,000 earners pay more tax than the bottom nine million, fact! ) then they already pay tax on their money BEFORE they use more of it to pay council tax.

Yes them rich bastards are just living off the backs of the poor,

That's a bit silly and extreme don't you think?

Hardly social cleansing, just a fairer society. I see it's ok for working families who aren't in social housing to move to other areas to avoid rising rent. That's not the social cleansing you refer to is it?
