The Stone Roses/Ian Brown

30 years ago today the stone roses debut album was released .

30 years and never bettered.

I still play it in full at least once a week and it blows me away every time mate.

It’s absolute perfection.

On a slightly different note, have you heard the piano versions of the Roses tunes?
No way I'm the same mate, not a week goes by where I haven't played the roses at some point, and that's lasted for 30 years now and it still gives me the butterflies to this day.
No not heard them, who's done them?

‘Stone Roses for Piano’ and ‘Second Symphony’ lps on Spotify.

I’d start with Made of Stone.

Hauntingly beautiful.

Do I need to get my flares and Reni out of the loft? :)
You might just want to locate where they are for future reference.

Reni told a few people(again apparently, pinch of salt...) he's ready for next year's reunion and that all the roses played on ripples, he wrote lots of songs when they did all for one and beautiful thing but ian didn't think they sounded like roses songs.
Somewhere there are demos of the songs on ripples by all the roses that mani has said are better than the album versions.
Add to the fact that brownie has gone underground since his album release and you can get carried away quite easily.
I'd say something is brewing.
