These sentences seem to vary so much. My old Boy Scout Leader went down for Child Porn offences for 27 months (making and downloading images) and a Guy I knew as a gig promoter got 8 years for 8 counts of indecent assault against 4 underage victims he taught at School.

What bothers me so much is that I always had a sneaking suspicion that both of them weren't right in the head but could do nothing about it.

Agreed it is time to test this so called new power of the CPS to appeal unduly light sentences. 14 months will undoubtedly lead to 7 months in a cushy open prison somewhere.
