I’ve lived in the states 40 years and I can say with confidence American sports are shit.
baseball: 162 boring games, so boring the commentators regularly chat about anything other than the game going on.
You've not listened to Tyler/Darke/Fletcher etc doing our games then?

we are dammed if we do dammed if we dont, if we dont then say goodbye to all the top players they will go where the money is, if we do then we become part of a league nobody wants or supports, its unthinkable that we would not compete in the premier league fa cup league cup.

Mate, whether you like the game or not it’s still a sport and that was my point, they are sportsmen in the respective fields. I can’t fukin stand rugby but it’s still a sport. I’m not ignorant enough to argue otherwise.
American sports are money driven, we all know football had gone down that path but we still recognise competition, promotion, relegation, ambition, something that's clearly lacking in USA sports, however, they do play to a dumb audience so fair fucks on that.

Presumably if EUFA are offering us a bung to withdraw, that can only mean a seat on the executive. We could be the good(ish) guys for once whilst sharing the executive with Bayern and PSG. Meanwhile, Dippers, Rags and the Arse are left twisting in the wind and taking all the blame. I’m starting to see how this might work in our favour:)
Plus Gill who was today re-elected to the UEFA executive.

baseball: 162 boring games, so boring the commentators regularly chat about anything other than the game going on. World Series? What world?
Basketball: 3-4 super teams, based on what friends want to play with each other, with the superstars getting permission to routinely cheat (the Jordan rules)
NFL: 3 hours to play a 60 min game. Research has shown only about 6-8 minutes of actual game time is actually played.
NHL: fighting is illegal yet they allow it because without fights, the NHL would fold faster than you can imagine.
Also, look at the stands during any one of these sports. More people going to/from the concession stand than actually watching the games going on
NHL isn’t really an american sport, it’s canadian..

But I get the point.

Anyways, I can’t believe the club hasn’t made an annoucement yet. We want no part in this shitshow.

Seeing if BT will pay up UEFA dont fulfill the grand finale of the competition they fund, you mean? Its all bullshit. The governing bodies know in reality they have no power to stop clubs doing there own thing. The big argument is not if we are allowed to compete. Its the battle for where the TV deal gets cut up. The clubs involved have proven they alone can generate more than the whole Champions League combined. Its a Power Play on UEFA and nothing more.
It seems like a clubs only thing at the moment. Fans, Players & Managers all seem to be coming out against the ESL.

Infantino has just said the twelve clubs are either in, or out. No half measures will be accepted. No one can stop the ESL, but national FA's, UEFA & FIFA can throw them & their players out of their competitions. That's more than a Power Play.
