The UEFA Cartel are pissed off that the clubs that make them the bulk of their money don’t want to continue to flog to death the players they spend €100Ms on every year so that UEFA can make €Billions from TV rights and global sponsorship.
Shocked! Shocked, I say!
Now, the Clubs that generate the bulk of that revenue (and pay the exorbitant fees for players so as to be the best clubs in the world) want to control that revenue themselves, seeing as they are the ones producing it?
Shocked! SHOCKED, I say!
It is time for a fundamental reform o football in Europe, and across the globe.
FIFA and UEFA are PROVEN corrupt organizations. In furtherance of their corruption, they have sought to reward clubs for PAST SUCCESS,lest they miss out in the €Ms EARNED by those club who are successful each year. In doing so, they create “coefficients,” which are simply manipulations of prior success that have nothing to do with whether they were one of the best teams in Europe this season. WHY? TO SATISFY THEIR OWN INTERNAL CARTEL!
The thing UEFA is mad about is that this is COMPETITION FOR THEIR OWN CARTEL, which will dilute the dollars available for their own football competitions WITHOUT THE TOP TEAMS!
What is even more interesting is that many of the clubs involved have people involved in UEFA at the top levels. Clearly, they do not want a further dilution of the GAME BY UEFA, a UEFA seeks to CONSTANTLY EXPAND THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FAR BEYOND WHAT IT WAS EVER MEANT TO BE. WHY is UEFA doing this?
€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€ !
The hypocrisy of the GLOBAL AND EUROPEAN MONOPOLIES ON FOOTBALL is only slightly amusing. This is what happen when billions of Euros are sloshing around the game and every greedy little fucker in football wants their “fair share.”
As pointed out elsewhere, the Premier League is English equivalent of almost exactly the same thing this ESL is talking about...controlling the product and finances of the top teams in the(ir) game.
It’s great to bang the table in moral outrage, but anyone here who doesn’t understand why Mansour bought City, me why City have grown dramatically over the past decade, and how we get to bring in (and pay!) some of the best talent in the world need to reassess your moral indignance!
Anyone who thinks KDB re-upped for almost £400K/week because we get to play Burnley twice a season is deluded. Or, maybe Haaland will want to come to City for the Weds night away day at Norwich next season...but I doubt it!
The game is broken. Sadly, we are in such a period of moral outrage and everyone walking on eggshells for fear of offending someone’s delicate sensibilities that NOW might be the exact wrong moment to recreate football in favor of the fans.
I’m sure there will be much gnashing of teeth and financial maneuvering before this all gets settled, but the threats of not allowing players to play for their country only serves to illustrate the power of the MONOPOLY at present!
Let’s see what Monday, and open offices across European football, brings...
