Was never an announcement of a new league, just an interview by Agnelli at a football summit afaik, which tried to paint ESL as a saviour, of course.

Nothing will actually happen until after the ECJ has given its verdict later this year or next year.
You mean Heidenreich was wrong? There's a shocker...

Just Wow! Laporta, the hypocritical b@stard!

Barcelona state funded by the Catalan Government for decades.
Spending over their means for decades.
Inflating player transfer fees, and player wages for decades.
Debt ridden.
Etc, etc.

The c*nts, Barcelona, (and Madrid) are still after City.(and PSG)

And to think Mansour, Khaldoon, and Soriano all went along with the Super League due to the fear of missing out on the money it would have generated. Whilst behind our backs Barcelona, Madrid, and the other European Cartel clubs who also wanted to join the Super League were scheming, intent on destroying or at least stopping City. I can’t believe City went along with these cunts. Fair play to PSG.

Saving European Football, my f*cking arse!

"We are promoting the project together with Florentino Perez, with whom I speak often. It is a way to save European football. It is evident that we must fit it into the framework of European football and without destroying the domestic leagues. They are essential for us.

"We cannot allow European football to be in the hands of states that do not belong to the European Union. It is clear that [Manchester] City and PSG have a money-making machine, and we are fighting against that.

Also goes on to say he thinks they can and will go on to win the league this season, so goes to show he's 100% KFA.

"Unless they are Americans, of course"
We don't belong to the European Union anymore ourselves so the (soon to be) 9 American owners out of 20 clubs plus the Chinese and Italian and whatever owned clubs are immaterial. I presume he'll be happy in that case.

In fact just 5 PL clubs are British majority owned. (2 are Welsh majority or at least the biggest chunk in WHUs case owned so just 3 English owned clubs).

UEFA is the Union no doubt in this context.

Yep, and he clearly means state-owned, not owners from a particular state. This US owner thing we always come back with makes us look a bit naive. And it's not necessary either.

Doesn't matter anyway. It isn't happening any time soon. They will just have to be smarter to catch up.

I’m not linking to it because I’d rather castrate myself.
De spunkrag have put out another hit piece on our finances saying they have internal letters showing we are/ have been funded by a government agency in Abu Dhabi.

Didn’t actually read it, don’t ever plan to, but thought it worth mentioning as that’s where the next few waves of frothing anger and lunacy will be coming from.
Again.

edit; just realized it’s been brought up in the media thread. But it’s pertinent to this thread as well I guess for when they come for us again.

Must have another big game coming up.

The fucking brass neck on this ****. In other words, the domestic leagues are their solely to provide a pyramidal framework with them sitting rightfully at the top.

What a ****.
