The choice city face now is whether to stay in with that group of elites that finally seems to have accepted us as a 'b'g club' (now known as franchise), or put the wishes of the majority fo the fans first.
Walking away now would have its benefits for City too. All the ringleaders sat within UEFA and FIFA have already, or are starting to, walk away from their positions, the Ed Woodwards and Agnelli's, who claim their position would be untenable now to remain with UEFA... but wht the hell have they been doing in that role for the past few years? Possibly feeding information to the clubs they also represent on UEFA's deals and finances? They are snakes, we all know it, and of course they have been absuing their roles with the govorning bodies to further their own club's fortunes.
In contrast, a UEFA with Woodward and more cronies removed may be more appealing to us, more transparency, a chance for reform and to remove conflicts of interest. Like it or not, UEFA has the history and the prestige. Yes, they and FFP were the tools that were used to try and beat us back, but let's not forget who was holding those tools. The very same snakes who we are snuggling up to now.
But will we walk away, after finally gaining acceptance from those that called us for years, those who tried to beat us not on the pitch, but behind desks, through newspapers and in court? If only fans had a say, eh? Feels pretty powerless, the only thing I could really do yesterday was cancel my City+ subsription, take that £1.99 per month loss ya greedy gits!
That said i'll still tune in tomorrow. Bernardo, Pep, Dias and all of them deserve our support at a cruical part of the season. Politics and greed won't derail the incredible achievemenst of MCFC this season.
