Here's why I'm not convinced it's us:

I don't think our owners are so out of touch that they wouldn't have been fully aware of the vitriol and anger this would create. They surely knew we would all hate it.

I find it easier to believe that FSG with their "I don't understand why English football even has more than one league" (or whatever they said) would be the ones not realising fans would hate this.
This all depends on what we were told. We may have joined had had the rug ripped from under us.

It tallies up with what I've been told about Zoom meetings at the club last night and this morning.

good man Ric. And may I just say your behaviour on this board in this last year is much improved. Not gone unnoticed by the senior posters.

Got to be us, surely!?

Good news and hopefully true.

Though I don’t see how United or Liverpool could have misled us or any other founder club. I said this earlier, but the statements from each club were identical, and that indicates to me that a pre-contract has been signed. I don’t see how we would have done that without considerable legal and commercial review.

Putting that to one side, the club has published a Glazer quote on its site, and put its name on a stern letter to UEFA et al. Even if we now back out, I don’t think that can be forgiven by the fans, but we can probably learn to ignore it with time

Purely from a selfish PR aspect, I'd want us to be going alone on it.

Doing it with Chelsea just changes the narrative from taking a stand to bottling it.

There's an open goal awaiting either of us, simply because the other English teams signed up to it are needing it to stay afloat.
Have you thought this through?
