That’s true, the good will built up by Khaldoon and the club over the last 12/13 years is gone for me regardless.
Completely agree. It will take a monumental effort to rebuild trust... if ever. A start would be a really clear statement on their position. Who knows we could start to sympathise with their position.

The clubs with the most debt (Real and Barca) have panicked then whipped up this money making bullshit idea, sold it as a dream to the franchise-obsessed American owners (hence Liverpool, Utd being at the forefront) and they’ve lapped it up.

All this without actually having a real plan on what the league itself is. He’s doing an interview talking about what they might do. They’ve shaken football and its roots to the core and they don’t even have a plan yet? The debt-ridden clubs have heard the Americans say yes and rushed it through before they can backtrack (not saying they would, pricks).

It’s disgusting and ridiculous in equal measure.

It is.

If the Premier League and UEFA are smart they'll prise this apart at its numerous weak spots, rather than hit it with a hammer. The constituent parts of this shit show have rallied around the same objective, but, as you rightly point out, not all for the same reasons.

if the Premier League and UEFA recognise this, then they need to offer an acceptable escape route for those that want out, an out with the least damage to any of the wavering clubs. If they do that they'll prise away City, Chelsea and probably Spurs, and once they're gone, with no one likely to replace them, the whole thing will fold.

The downside is I suspect they'll hit this with a sledgehammer, grudges will be settled and it'll get ugly.
