Realistically, we're not going to catch their goal difference now.

All we have to do is concentrate on winning the next game in front of us.

We are better than the seven teams we're going to face and as long as we show that on the day then there's nothing Liverpool can do about it no matter how many goals they score in their games.
 
We have to realise this is peak Liverpool who's team won't get much better as several are ageing.

The recruitment director Mike Edwards who has been responsible for good recruitment leaves this summer for some reason.

They still have to sort out the Mo salary demands as their owners won't pay top dollar, whereas ours will.

To be ahead of them without a natural born striker is amazing from our lads.

I feel it comes down to the Wolves away game with Connor Coady , a big red, leading them on. The rest of the players may well be on the beach though.

I know this wont go down well.And it pains me to say it , mainly because i absolutely hate the german,abhor is the word. But sooner or later we might have to stand back and say well they are a great team and in the end for lots of reasons,we just couldnt stay with them...Either that or some team gets a heart and goes out and competes and actually beats them...Hopefully us a. to the title and b. in the Final of the CL

If they match our 2017-18 season's points haul and goal difference then fair play to them.

You have to win back to back titles to be considered a great team! Or so iv been told.

City should have beaten them twice this season.

They're a spectacular team, but can we leave the eulogy for when we aren't top of the league?!

This is the most downbeat I've seen this forum since I joined, and we are top of the league with a semi final in Europe to play. Did you see how hard we battled against Atleti? How good we were against Liverpool? This team isn't giving up anything without a fucking fight.

If we Brighton, Watford, Leeds, Newcastle, Wolves, West Ham and Villa and we've won the league.

Agreed. Lots of mardy fannies on here willing to chuck in the towel. I don't think Pep and the boys are, and we'll see that tomorrow night.

Agree with the sentiment behind the post. I don’t care how good Liverpool are or claim to be. A win against Brighton is all that I am Bothered about. We know the team is capable of going on a winning run but we need to stop giving goals away and take out chances.

I believe we can until 8pm tonight :)

Aye but we barely got any recognition for that. It is though we are completely invisible with that achievement. Chelsea would be a bigger test than Watford was in 2018-19 (although the second biggest result in a FA Cup final isn't to be sniffed at).

Our achievement was remarkable but you can't deny if they win the champions league instead of the community shield quadruple like we did there's would be alot better.

This Liverpool squad is immense, game after game isn't fazing them. They've the ability to rotate weekly and performance levels don't drop.
We'd the chance to put them away last Sunday but missed too many chances when dominating the game. Of the two run ins away to West Ham looks like the toughest of games. Liverpool will easily win all their home games and then just have to navigate through trips to Southampton and Newcastle, and one other maybe who I forget
 
Well this is it now. Unless the cult balls up, everyone knows the drill. One twist will determine this league I feel. C'mon City.

They've matched us for squad depth and quality. New level. Hopefully we can take it up a notch next season. But unless we pull something out of the bag lfc will eclipse our achievements probably by winning everything this year.
